USATestprep Blog

Students and teachers will now see a new feature on USATestprep:  Badges. These will appear on your home page next to your avatar. Badges are earned based on various criteria (logins, high scores, improvement, etc.) to encourage and motivate students. Teachers can also create and assign custom Badges for their students. We hope you enjoy this new feature. Let us know what you think!

  1. Mrs. McGuire Says:

My students are complaining that some badges are not rewarded to them when they should be earning them. Is there a reason that some badges do not show up?

  2. Kirby Says:

Most badges are processed nightly, so if students earn one during the day it will probably not be seen until the following day. Also, some badges are processed at the end of the month (high score game badges, for example). If you have any specific examples please let us know at

  3. Kirby Says:

Teachers can access a list of Badges from their home page. They can also create their own. Students, however, do not currently have a way to view our array of Badges.

  4. Kirby Says:

Badges are earned based on various criteria (logins, high scores, improvement, etc.). They are awarded either nightly or weekly, depending on the criterion. Teachers can also create and assign customized Badges.

  5. Kirby Says:

Hi, Zachary. You are pretty much on target: badges can be awarded for many things: number of logins, high scores, taking a certain number of tests, an many, many other things. Plus, you teachers can make their own.

  6. Kiba Says:

Badges remind me of Xbox Achievements. Love them

  7. Kirby Says:

Thanks, Kiba! We’ve only just begun to explore the “badges” concept, so be on the look out for updates.

  8. Breanna Says:

what are some badges for logins

  9. Kirby Says:

    Hi, Natasha,
There are currently badges for 5, 50, 100, 200, and 500 logins. Those are awarded automatically by our system. However, teachers can also create and award their own.
