Diagnostic Test Problems

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Due to our server upgrade over the past weekend, the site is experiencing some technical difficulties. Specifically we are noticing a problem with our diagnostic tests.

We are currently working around the clock to correct this.  Our biggest challenge is, it is not happening on all networks.  There appears to be a conflict with our code and some school networks.

Again, we offer our sincere apologies if your school is experiencing problems.

Growing Pains

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Beginning Tuesday, April 22nd, we experienced an unprecedented server load. Due to the upcoming End of Course testing across many states, we have had more students using USATestprep to help them review this week than ever before. As a result, some of you may have experienced a slow or problematic browsing experience between the peak hours of 10:00 A.M. and Noon, EST.

To alleviate this problem, we have placed an emergency server upgrade order and plan to have it installed this weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience or unproductive class time for you or your students. Thank you for continuing to use USATestprep, and we will continue to do our best to make our site the best possible review product available.

Do not hesitate to call or email if you have any questions or concerns.

Crossword Puzzle Printing Issues

Friday, February 16th, 2007

cross_wordpuzzles_200w.jpgYesterday, a South Carolina subscriber mentioned that the font for our crossword puzzle answer keys was too small. We are in the process of building new SC puzzles to correct this problem. It will be completed by the end of the day today.

If any other subscriber finds other problems with a crossword, please contact us. We will address the problem within 24 hours.

A personal thanks to Mary O’Dell and Taminika Shadd!

Testing and Quiz issues

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Early this week some of our subscribers experienced a problem with our tests and quizzes. Some students were getting empty quiz and test results after they hit submit. We apologize to those students and teachers.

We analyzed and corrected this problem. Without getting too technical, the error was a result of moving to the new server last weekend. We are confident the problem is corrected and you will not experience it again. If you ever run into any technical or content problems, please let us know immediately. We strive to maintain a quality, user-friendly website and highly value all customer feedback.

We would like to personally thank Jeffery Crane, Vicki Loess and Mary Boatright for helping us diagnose this problem.

Thanks Nancy!

HelpToday one of our new subscribers called informing us that our new help videos were not working.

Our help section contains screen capture quicktime movies of common tasks for our website. We try to test all functions of our site to work in all browsers and all computer types. We work primarily on Mac computers. Nancy found that our movie code was not working on her PCs running Internet Explorer version 6.0. After some quick testing we found the problem in the code and have all the videos working again.

I wanted to thank her and encourage anyone to report technical problems with the site. We work very hard to correct problems in a timely manner.
