An Open Letter to Subscribers Regarding COVID-19 from USATestprep CEO Will Clemens

Published: March 13, 2020, 12:07 p.m.

The Coronavirus outbreak is evolving rapidly. The letter below was sent to our subscribers by USATestprep CEO Will Clemens. We continue to work closely with educators and districts to serve the needs of schools, students, and teachers nationwide. Please reach out to us with any questions on how USATestprep can best support your school and students.

With schools across the country facing potential prolonged closure due to COVID-19, I wanted to personally reach out. Like all of you, my first priority is the health and safety of our customers, our staff, and the communities where we operate. Our hearts go out to all those affected and the difficult decisions being faced by districts, school administrators, teachers, and parents as we all work to determine what’s best for the health and well-being of the people in our lives.

We do assume that many schools will close, even if just for short periods, but often in an unpredictable pattern. We assume there will be changes to school calendars, activities, and courses of instruction. We also note that some of the emerging research suggests that school populations are relatively better off than other segments of the population, and that schools can play an important role in their communities as we all react to this situation.

Our business continues to operate; we are servicing customers, training teachers, and, as we do every year, continuing to update our material for new standards. We will be here for you as this school year ends and the new school year begins over the summer.

We have received many questions about how to use us as closures and other disruptions happen. I will address the key points here, and customer service and other resources at USATestprep are always available to help you further.

In the coming days, virtual learning will likely become--by necessity--more of a focus for educators seeking to ensure uninterrupted student learning, and to ensure their students are still on track. While we have always offered the ability to use USATestprep as a learn-from-home resource, we are increasing our training webinars on this topic in order to better educate teachers on best practices for using the platform. The first of these webinar trainings are scheduled for March 16 and you can check on the future webinar dates here. Assignments, assessments, quizzes, and individualized remediation are just some of the available options for remote learning.

I encourage you to join us for these training webinars, bringing your questions and concerns. For those unable to join the webinars at the appointed times, please sign up anyway and you will receive a link to the recording afterward. You may find information on our at-home learning options here.

Our goal is always to best serve the needs of the schools and educators who have entrusted us to impact the lifetime learning of their students. As a company founded by teachers, we take our role in education very seriously. While there is no doubt of the enormity the impact COVID-19 will have on schools, I take strength in knowing that we are all on the same path, working tirelessly for the betterment of students.

Thank you for being a loyal customer of USATestprep. We are deeply honored to serve you and will remain in touch as we explore additional ways in which our platform may best serve your needs during this time.

Sincerely,

Will Clemens
