Quick Tips: Assignments

So you've created some classes. Now what? 🤷♂️🤷♀️
You'll definitely want to take advantage of the Assignments tab on your teacher homepage. To create an assignment, click the Assignments tab, then the "Create New Assignment" link.
The rest of the process is easy. 🙌
- Choose whether you want to assign one activity or multiple activities at once.
- Choose the classes you want to complete the assignment. You can choose an entire class by clicking on the box next to the class name. If you only want specific students to take the assignment, click on the box next to the class name, expand the class, then select the student(s) who you want to complete the assignment.
- The next step is to choose the activity. Enter a name, then the type of activity you want to assign -- a test, practice questions, vocabulary set, technology-enhanced performance task, game, or video. If assigning multiple activities, you can add assignments from multiple standards.
- The last step is to choose your settings. Determine the start date and due date for the assignment. When you choose a start date in the future, note that the assignment will only show up for your students on the start date. Also, once the due date has passed, students will still be able to complete the assignment up to two months later, but their result will be marked as “Past Due.”.
Finally, you can choose whether or not you want A) students to have multiple attempts to improve their score, B) require a minimum score that students must earn, or C) allow students to retry the items they missed.
If assigning multiple activities, you can require that students complete the activities in a specific order (which you can set by dragging the activities in the order you want).
Click "Save Assignment" and you're all done! 🎉
The assignment will show up in your Assignments tab and your students' homepage.
