USATestprep is Now Integrated with Google Classroom

You can now import or connect your USATestprep classes to Google Classroom courses. This means that assignments can be deep linked and posted to Google Classroom! You can also view your students' grades in Google Classroom as well. All your students will have to do is click on the assignment from Google Classroom and, after logging in to USATestprep, they land directly in the assignment.


How Do I Get Started?


Integrating with Google Classroom

Be sure to authenticate Google Single Sign On FIRST in your USATestprep account. This is for anyone with a Google account -- teachers and students.

Students must authentic Google Single Sign On in their USATestprep account in order for teachers to be able to use Google Classroom.

How to Connect Existing Classes to Google Classroom

Step 1: From your Classes tab, click on the Class Management icon for any existing class you'd like to connect to a Google Classroom course. Note: Use the "Import from Google Classroom" link instead if you're creating a new class. Important: Your account must first be connected to Google.

Step 2: Click on the icon to the right of "Connect to Google Classroom.”

Step 3: Select one of your Google Classroom courses to connect. Note: Only Google Classroom courses that are NOT already associated in USATestprep will be shown.

Step 4: Click the "Connect" button.

Step 5: Your class is connected to Google Classroom! Note: It may take a few minutes for the class name to update to the Google Classroom course name.

Step 6: Within the Classes tab, all classes connected to Google Classroom will have the Google Classroom icon to the right of the class name. Bonus: You can create assignments in USATestprep and post them in Google Classroom now.

How to Create Assignment for Google Classroom

Step 1: From your Assignments tab, click the "Create New Assignment" link.

Step 2: Select which classes you are creating the assignment for. Then, select "Yes" for "Add to Google Classroom. " Note: The assignment will only be added to Google Classroom for classes already connected, indicated by the Google Classroom icon.

Step 3: Choose the standard(s) and assignment type in step 2 , then settings in step 3. Click "Save Assignment. "

Step 4: All assignments added to Google Classroom will have the Google Classroom icon to the right of the assignment name.

Step 5: Click the Settings icon to edit the assignment name, due date, assigned classes, etc.

Step 6: Your USATestprep assignments will appear in your Google Classroom under "Classwork. " Note: Editing sections in Google Classroom, such as the title or due date, will not make any changes to the assignment in USATestprep. Assignment and setting edits must be made directly in USATestprep.

How to Import Google Classroom Courses

Step 1: At the top of the Classes tab, select "Import from Google Classroom. " Important: You will only see this link if you have connected your USATestprep account to Google.

Step 2: Check all of the courses from Google Classroom that you'd like to import to USATestprep. Note: Only the owner (primary teacher) can import courses from Google Classroom.

Step 3: Click the "Import" button.

Step 4: Your Google Classroom courses will be listed in your Classes tab.

Step 5: Next, you'll need to add students and associate tests (subject areas) to your classes. Click on the Class Management icon.

Step 6: Click the "Edit Class" link.

Step 7: Proceed through steps 2-4 to add test(s), shared teacher(s), and students to your class.

Step 8: Save your updates in step 5 and return to Class Management.

Step 9: You should see all of your students, shared teacher(s), and associated test(s) listed. Note: You can now create assignments for your class -- and post USATestprep assignments in Google Classroom.

IMPORTANT: Any changes made in Google Classroom are NOT reflected in the assignment in USATestprep. If you want to make changes, please do so through our platform.

How to Sync USATestprep Grades to Google Classroom

You don't need to do anything extra, but there are two important steps that your students need to follow.

Step 1: Students must connect their USATestprep accounts to Google, just as you connected yours.

Step 2: Students should click the "Mark as done" button in Google Classroom, assuming the assignment has been completed in USATestprep.

Note: USATesetprep grades are synced every couple hours to Google Classroom, so there may be a delay from the time the student completes an assignment and when the score appears in Google Classroom. You can always refer to your USATestprep gradebook for the most up-to-date scores.
