ATLANTA, GA, August 12, 2020 — USATestprep, a leading nationwide provider of state-standards learning resources and assessment tools is excited to announce the launch of the Progress platform.
Progress is the name chosen by the company to refer to their online platform used by more than 85,000 teachers nationwide for remote and in-school learning. Starting this week, when teachers and students log in to the platform, they’ll be greeted by a state-specific Progress banner welcoming them to “Georgia Progress," "Texas Progress, " "South Carolina Progress," etc. Teachers will still be able to access everything they could before and no action is required on the part of teachers or students.
So why the name change?
“For years, teachers have told us the 'USATestprep' name doesn’t do justice to everything we offer,” says Will Clemens, CEO, noting that a great many schools use USATestprep for regular supplemental learning, apart from test prep.
“Ironically, we selected the Progress name before COVID hit but are finding that now, more than ever, educators are focused on making real ‘progress’ this school year when it comes to virtual learning. It’s a perfect match.”
The USATestprep company name remains in place with Progress now the name of the platform itself.
“We realize this may not feel like a big change now, but we at USATestprep view this as a way to set the foundation for what lies ahead,” says Amy Brown, COO, and a former high school math teacher. “This school year we’re not only helping prepare students for big tests but also giving teachers the tools to help students with ongoing practice and progress monitoring, as we roll out more and more tools to help students grow and master the standards.”
USATestprep has been conferring with teachers and educators around the country to help schools prepare for what is sure to be an unusual school year. The company provided free access to its online platform to schools nationwide from March-August and continues to work with schools on Day One Diagnostics, as well as digital and distance-learning options.
“USATestprep offers teachers proven tools that show real academic achievement as students revisit old topics and cover new ones,” says Clemens. “As we continue to introduce more schools and districts to the Progress platform, we look forward to helping grow successful learners, nationwide.”
